Die Formel-2-Europameisterschaft 1984 war die 18. und letzte Saison dieser 1967 etablierten Motorsportserie. Die Meisterschaft umfasste elf Rennen, die in Deutschland, Frankreich, Großbritannien und Italien abgehalten wurden. Der Meistertitel ging an Mike Thackwell, den Vizemeister des Vorjahres, der 1984 sieben Rennen gewann.
Die Formel-2-Europameisterschaft war eine von der FIA von 1967 bis 1984 ausgerichtete Rennserie im Automobilsport, die dem Reglement der Formel 2 folgte. Es war eine reine Fahrermeisterschaft; einen Pokal für Konstrukteure gab es nicht.
Die Wiedereinführung der Formel 2 erfolgte 1964, wobei das Reglement ein Hubraumlimit von 1000 cm³ und ein Mindestgewicht von 420 kg vorschrieb. 1967 führte die FIA die Formel-2-Europameisterschaft ein, die bis 1984 Bestand hatte. Der Hubraum wurde auf 1600 cm³ vergrößert.
